About Dr. Beams

Dr. Beams provides a Medical Home for the children of Howard County. This means the care we offer is continuous, comprehensive, and coordinated. Dr. Beams aims to build a brighter future for all by making sure our kids grow and develop to their full potential. We are here to help maintain optimal health and well being for families from birth into adulthood.

Philosophy

Dr. Beams grew up in Howard County. She completed her BA in History at Swarthmore College, and earned her medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago. Dr. Beams served as a Pediatric Hospitalist and Co-Director of Critical Care Transport program at Peyton Manning/St. Vincent’s Children’s Hospital for 2 years before moving home to Howard County. Since 2008, she has been serving families in central Maryland through her private practice, community service, advocacy, and research.

Dr. Beams also maintains certifications in psychology and coaching. In her spare time she teaches yoga, hikes with her dog, and continues to educate herself and others on mental health through her Zenith Wellness program.
